Stabil, Gasoline and Engines
Anyone who has let gasoline in a small engine for long periods of time, knows it can be a headache when they try to start the engine as varnish in the line, etc. consequently, if you are looking for a product that keeps gasoline fresh for a long time, get Stabil and add as directed. I have used it for years and never had a problem. It keeps the gasoline from turning to varnish and getting stale. I have had gas up to four and a half years and never had a problem. I always put a tablespoon in small engine tanks as lawnmowers, log splitters, or snow blowers when they will sit unused for several months as over winter or summer, for example. In our two hundred gallon gasoline tank that we use for farm tractors, I always put in Stabil and it usually takes up to about three years to use it all and Stabil has always kept it fresh. Stabil can be purchased at automotive supply houses or Walmart. I usually get it at Walmart since it is cheapest there.
