Fools Talk
There is an old saying and I have found it to be true over many years of observation, "A fool is known by his multitude of words." The question might be this if this is true; why is a fool a fool? It is obvious in the previous statement. It is because he never shuts up long enough to learn anything. I know of a certain person who talks, talks and talks every time someone is around. Every time she opens her mouth, she reveals her ignorance. Do you know of anyone like that? Watch and listen. It will be interesting!
As for an example and I would never call this person a fool but time has said what it will. I know of the following first hand as I was there. There was a certain lady (lady A, we'll call her) who would call another lady (lady B) on the phone. Lady A would talk and talk and talk. Finally lady B would get so frustrated she would lay the phone down and walk away and do what she wanted to do and come back a half hour later or more and lady A was still talking unbeknown to her that no one was listening. Finally the end would come, sometimes after a couple of hours of a one sided conversation and so the phone was hung up. Seemed like such a waste at the time, I remember thinking. Many years later, lady A was placed in a nursing facility due to old age, health, etc. While in the facility she suffered a stroke and could no longer talk. I used to pass by her and think how ironic! She was finally silenced. I felt sorry for her yet I was aware of the frustration she caused others with her multitude of words many times. Huh? How could this be? But it was!
