Funny, How Time Slips Away

A moment passes,
Yet another moment passes,
And yet another moment passes,
And so time slips away,
From each and all,
And passes away into eternity.

Each seem to think,
They have made their mark,
In some small or great way,
Yet who shall remember,
He who is gone,
As death removes the memory of all?

Man is like time,
In that he slips away,
Moment by moment,
And so passes away,
Into eternity forgotten,
Except by his Maker!
